The Freedom Chapel Dinner Theater is about 30 minutes from King's Cottage B&B. A second location in Bird-In-Hand is only 10 minutes from King's Cottage, which is open March through Dec., so visit the Freedom Chapel Dinner Theatre nestled in the heart of Christiana. It showcases both original plays and well-known Broadway hits. The Freedom Chapel Dinner Theatre opened its doors in April 2003 with The Christiana Treason Trials of 1851. Known nationally for "The Christiana Riot" that took place on September 11, 1851, the unassuming town of Christiana along with the ambiance of the restored, 19th century Presbyterian chapel provides the perfect backdrop for this historical reenactment.

Since 1947, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra has evolved from a community orchestra playing a few concerts per year into an organization of professional musicians presenting 20 yearly subscription concerts at the Fulton Opera House, plus three Audience Request concerts, a New Year's Eve Celebration at the American Music Theatre, and a free, outdoor community Patriotic Concert.

The Lancaster Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church is 1 1/2 miles from King's Cottage B&B. The Underground Railroad story in "Living the Experience" is a spiritually, creative, living historical production of the Underground Railroad in Pennsylvania. Individuals such as Eliza Parker, Rev. Stephen Smith, Rev. Jarena Lee, and Lydia Hamilton Smith tell their courageous stories about their work on the Underground Railroad. Intertwined in the production are the Spirituals of a people searching for and leading Africans to a life of freedom. The Underground Railroad was a network of "stations" that enslaved Africans used to escape. The Lancaster Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church was one of these active "stations."
