Lancaster County Amish Information

King's Cottage
1049 East King Street
Lancaster, PA  17602-3231

Lancaster County is home to America's oldest Amish settlement, where thousands still live a centuries-old "Plain" lifestyle. It's a place where visitors can enjoy a slower, more peaceful pace - where the horse & buggy remains a primary form of transportation for the Amish, and some Mennonites, and where farms create a scenic landscape. How peaceful, and amazing, it is to watch the teams of horses as the Amish work the most fertile non-irrigated land in the United States. If you are looking for Amish made furniture or beautiful Amish quilts you'll find that, and much more, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Read more about the Amish, their history, culture and customs as published as the Amish Series in Amish News.

Listed below are a few of the ways to enhance your experience in this beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch country.
