Lancaster County is home to America's oldest Amish settlement, where thousands still live a centuries-old "Plain" lifestyle. It's a place where visitors can enjoy a slower, more peaceful pace - where the horse & buggy remains a primary form of transportation for the Amish, and some Mennonites, and where farms create a scenic landscape. How peaceful, and amazing, it is to watch the teams of horses as the Amish work the most fertile non-irrigated land in the United States. If you are looking for Amish made furniture or beautiful Amish quilts you'll find that, and much more, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
