Take a ride on a open air Double-Decker bus or a mondern air-conditioned coache. The bus tours usuall last about two hours. On the tour you will relive the Battle with a stereo Audio Tour. As you travel the battlefield you will hear the roar of the connons, the crack of the rifeles, the roll of a drum or the echo of the distant bugle--making it feel like you are really there at the Battle of Gettysburg.
The two hour tour on the air-conditioned buses are with licensed battlefield guids. You will travel over the historic battlefield while the battle is being interpreted by a guid licensed by the National Park Service.
Tours are offered daily and are open all year round. The tickets for the bus tours are available at many hotels, motels, and campgrounds in the Gettysburg Area for the same price as you would pay if you pay up front.

Gettysburg National Military ParkSite of the largest battle ever fought during the American Civil War. Historians refer to the battle as one major turning point in the wary. They say it was the "High Water Mark of the Confederacy. The battle at Gettysburg was also the bloodiest single battle of the war. Over 51,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, captured, or ended up missing.
Congressional legislation was signed to establish Gettysburg National Military Park on February 11th, 1895. The park is a memorial dedicated to the armies that fought in the great battle. The park covers nearly 6,000 acres including 26 miles of park roads and over 1,400 monuments, markers, and memorials.
The Gettysburg national Military Park Visitor Center is open all year. September through May the center is open from 8 am to 5 pm and June through August the center is open from 8 am to 6 pm
The Gettysburg CycloramaThe building contains the Gettysburg Cyclorama. The Gettysburg Cyclorama is a 360 ft. long circular oil-on-canvas painting. The painting, which represents "Pickett's Charge". Pickett's Charge was the climatic moment of the battle at Gettysburg. Completed and exhibited in 1884, it is one of the last surviving cycloramas in the United States. The Gettysburg Cyclorama is 359 feet long, 27 feet high and weighs an estimated 3 tons.
